What can I do today that will make my life easier tomorrow?
This is a fun game to play with yourself. It's kind of like reverse-procrastination. So to bring it to hypnosis, not just a thought experiment, get into a meditative state, or bring yourself into a light trance, and invite you-from-tomorrow to sit with you. It's kind of like Back to the Future, except it will create no time anomalies! And then, just ask tomorrow you, how can I help?
The key is to do it in a spirit of genuine caring. Not out of a sense of obligation or drudgery. Imagine the sense of caring and kindness you might want to offer to a beloved sibling or aging relative or child or lover or spouse or friend, and offer it to yourself. Maybe the thing that will make you feel cherished will be to offer yourself a nap. Or maybe it will be to create a routine around going for a walk on the regular. Or maybe it will be to tackle a big looming item on your list that you've been dreading. Whatever it is, notice how it makes tomorrow you feel to have been offered that, and then when you come back to today perspective you can bring that sense of being cared for to the doing of that thing.
