This morning I woke up with a stiff neck, in pain and unable to turn my head to one side. Ugh! So after taking some anti-inflammatories and applying a heat pack, I practiced this way of working with the problem:
"Where can I find the ease in this?" I breathe into my neck, and I check to see where I can *easily* turn my head. I don't push it. If it hurts even the tiniest bit, I back off. Breathe. Feel the heat.
Moment by moment and micro motion by micro motion, I find what is comfortable and what is easy and I lean into that. And I can feel my neck begin to relax.
It's not completely there, but it's a lot better! I'll be doing this both for my neck and through my day today.
